The Liberian international aviation market as grown tremendously in the last Five years.  In 2006 the four airlines operating into Liberia were SN Brussels, Slok Air and Belview Airlines.  Today the number has doubled. We have Kenya Airways, Arik Air, Ethiopian Airlines, Royal Air Maroc, Air Nigeria, SN Brussels, Delta Airlines and Air FranceThe international air travel market in Liberia is booming and the numbers are only expected to grow in the future as additional carriers prepare to join the market including Emirates Airlines.   

The Liberian domestic aviation market unfortunately is currently not thriving. The United Nations is the key operator of domestic flights within LIberia. Liberia is approximately 43,000 square miles and there are no commercial flights operating between the counties.  In fact, aircraft or airline registration was discontinued in Liberia in 2006 and has not yet resumed. Major infrastructural development is required to renovate and build new airports.  There is a great need for aviation investment in the Liberian domestic aviation market. The rural roads are very bad.  Transportation of goods to some parts of Liberia is impossible at this time besides by air. Development of air travel within Liberia is crucial for overall national development.
